Turkey – Antalya, Pamukkale, Konya

turkey-fashion.jpg

Hi Everyone, πŸ™‚

Those of you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, would already know that Sanjeev and I are travelling through Turkey at this moment. πŸ™‚

It’s a badly planned trip by makemytrip.com but we are trying to do and enjoy as much as we can. πŸ˜€ Sanjeev and I went to Pamukkale (cotton castle in turkish) yesterday. It is an 8 hour drive up and down from Antalya but it was soooo worth it. I wish we had more time but whatever we spent there was just out of the world. PamukkaleΒ has gorgeous natural hot springs. You walk on soft natural calcium rocks and the soothing springs flow through your feet. It’s very relaxing and at the same time you are so amazed if it is actually true. πŸ™‚

Today we did a 10 hour road drive amidst the gorgeous scenic countryside to Cappadocia. Nature is soooo powerful. I am almost spellbound at the amount of natural beauty I have seen in these two days. From the pristine mountains to natural spirngs, to various cloud formations, different colors of mountains…it’s hard to put it in words. πŸ™‚

I have to wake up early tomorrow morning for the balloon ride. Will share more pics soon. Mwwwaaaah!!!

Some pointers :

  • Don’t plan your trip via a package. We planned this trip lonnng back and this is the last one we are ever doing via a package. I don’t think I’d really want to go into the massive details on what all is going wrong in this trip. Even people who are travelling with us are so pissed off with MMT.
  • Language is major problem in Turkey. People neither speak nor understand English. So they don’t interact with travellers naturally. It is coming across a little unfriendly from traveller’s perspective. A few people who understand English are more than ready to help you. πŸ™‚
  • Food is an issue here. I am yet to have a hearty meal. Have had some good snacks but Turkey is making me miss Jordan so badly. πŸ™‚
  • Turkey is a fab place for fashion.

    Hello Rati,

Firstly great pics and you look great too. I can understand that these package trips totally suck. I’m surprised that a food has been a disappointment in Turkey. All these travel food shows show so much about turkish cuisine.

One of my favourite bloggers has written about vegetarian food in Turkey

and Istanbul doners are supposed to be plenty.

I love how the landscape is on the way to Pammukale :O πŸ˜€ divine !! πŸ˜€ and love the picture with the caption “I love this guy” awwww :-* Pammukale is B-E-A-U-iful! That picture with you in the hot springs reminded me of the Famous Five stories by Enid Blyton. Enid always has fresh springs mentioned in her books and how beautifully she describes them πŸ™‚ You just made me live through that with these pictures πŸ˜€ and the waterfalls!! OMG :O The sea at the foot of the mountains is such a dreamy one! πŸ™‚ A place like that and a house with your loved one would be picture perfect πŸ˜› isn’t it πŸ˜€ you got me thinking now Ratiiii πŸ˜€ πŸ˜›
You look beautiful! make a great trip :-*

  3. Pamukkale looks breathtaking – especially those springs! And you outfits are just perfect for travel and look comfy.

Hey Rati, it’s great to know you’re enjoying your trip despite glitches!
I have been to Turkey about three to four years ago. It was amazing, the nature is just breathtaking na? I enjoyed Pammukale so much, it’s fun just walking over those softies πŸ˜€ And I enjoyed Turkish food, I’m a vegetarian too. I found that the Turkish like their meat in everything, so you might have to specify that you’re vege. If you’re a sweet lover, try them! They taste amazing πŸ™‚
I love your see-through blue loafers, so gorgeous! You look so pretty hun :*
Enjoy your trip and stay in love forever!

Turkey is beautiful beyond words. I had gone there 3 years ago. Istanbul and Coppadoccia were two of my favourite. It is true about the people not knowing much English. I had taken miserably ill in the city of Kusadasi and the doctor and me played a mime game so as I could explain to him my problem!
But the experience was amazing none the less.
You are looking gorgeous as usual!
    Enjoy

Amazing pics! I saw a few on instagram but absolutely love seeing them again on here. We went to Istanbul and Cappadocia last year. While Cappadocia was OK for food… we loved Istanbul for food. Our favorite was the eggplant mirza that is often served warm as an appetizer and obviously hummus! If you both eat chicken…they are famous for their testi kebab (pottery kebab). Enjoy your trip and keep posting such lovely pictures
