Hi Everyone, 🙂
Those of you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, would already know that Sanjeev and I are travelling through Turkey at this moment. 🙂
It’s a badly planned trip by makemytrip.com but we are trying to do and enjoy as much as we can. 😀 Sanjeev and I went to Pamukkale (cotton castle in turkish) yesterday. It is an 8 hour drive up and down from Antalya but it was soooo worth it. I wish we had more time but whatever we spent there was just out of the world. Pamukkale has gorgeous natural hot springs. You walk on soft natural calcium rocks and the soothing springs flow through your feet. It’s very relaxing and at the same time you are so amazed if it is actually true. 🙂
Today we did a 10 hour road drive amidst the gorgeous scenic countryside to Cappadocia. Nature is soooo powerful. I am almost spellbound at the amount of natural beauty I have seen in these two days. From the pristine mountains to natural spirngs, to various cloud formations, different colors of mountains…it’s hard to put it in words. 🙂
I have to wake up early tomorrow morning for the balloon ride. Will share more pics soon. Mwwwaaaah!!!
Some pointers :
- Don’t plan your trip via a package. We planned this trip lonnng back and this is the last one we are ever doing via a package. I don’t think I’d really want to go into the massive details on what all is going wrong in this trip. Even people who are travelling with us are so pissed off with MMT.
- Language is major problem in Turkey. People neither speak nor understand English. So they don’t interact with travellers naturally. It is coming across a little unfriendly from traveller’s perspective. A few people who understand English are more than ready to help you. 🙂
- Food is an issue here. I am yet to have a hearty meal. Have had some good snacks but Turkey is making me miss Jordan so badly. 🙂
- Turkey is a fab place for fashion.
