Hi Everyone, πŸ™‚

This post is from our second day in Bali. We kept it a bit chilled out for the second day -visited places, spent time on the beach and returned to the hotel early for dinner.

We started with the GWK (Garuda Wisnu Kenchana) Cultural Park. As the name suggests, it is a huge park devoted to Lord Vishnu and Garuda. It was a venue for Miss World 2013 and is also a prestigious venueΒ for weddings.

Sanjeev and I got to meet a lot of Indonesian people there. The biggest asset of Indonesia is the people. We haven’t come across nicer and sweeter people anywhere else so far. Some tourists came up and got pics clicked with me because they liked my dress so much. Strangers became friends within seconds. There were happy faces, lots of smiles and sheer amount of positive energy. It was all because of the people. My day was so filled with compliments and that’s the biggest learning I got back from Indonesia. “Be generous with your compliments. It keeps the world a happy place.” πŸ™‚ It felt so welcoming and warm. I will always remember this day. πŸ™‚

The next stop was the Coffee Plantation. We got to see various herbs and coffee plants in the park. And then there was a Luwak. This little guy eats coffee berries and then poops coffee beans. Those beans are processed ( a very expensive procedure) and the coffee then is sold by the name of Kopi Luwak. It’s the world’s most expensive coffee. πŸ™‚ Then we were made to try 12 different kinds of tea and coffee – ginger, ginseng, lemon, lemongrass, vanilla, cacao, coconut, Balinese, etc. For the Luwak Coffee you have to pay but I didn’t have the heart to drink a coffee made out of poop. πŸ˜›

Later we went to Padang Padang beach to chill out. You enter this beach through a cave. Quite a lot of fun! πŸ™‚ This was quite Β scary sea I have come across so far. The tides were high, the water was deep and there were huge coral rocks at the bottom. I bruised my feet so bad. But you know a sea is still a sea. You just always end up enjoying it only. πŸ™‚

After a few hours of enjoying the sun, sand and the beach, we headed to Uluwatu. It’s one of the 9 sea temples of Bali. These 9 directional temples are supposed to protect Bali from evil spirits. πŸ™‚ As a tourist, we went for the spectacular views of the place. And it lived up to every bit of expectations. It was long walk towards the end of the rock with a gorgeous sea below and fresh breeze blowing on the top. A perfect balance of nature – so gorgeous. πŸ™‚
