Hi Everyone, πŸ™‚

This is my post from our last day in Bali. We really stretched ourselves to soak up as much of beauty as we could in one day. Mr Husband has tried to capture as much gorgeousness of the place as he could through his photography. I hope you like them. :))

We started our trip with Pura Puseah Desa Batuan Temple. It’s a village temple of Batuan. It’s an ancinet temple built in 11th century and is famous for its stone carvings and stunning architecture. There were lovely courtyards inside the temple. It looked like a beautiful house of someone – peaceful, charming and very welcoming. πŸ™‚

There it is – Tegallang Rice Paddies. We had to literally treck though these gorgeous rice field to reach to the top. It’s like you keep going from one rice field to the other round and about. So damn tiring , so scary and muddy, super slippery but it was one heck of an experience. Thankfully my shoes behaved themselves. πŸ™‚

After a long tiring treck through the rice paddies, we headed towards the Kintamani temple. And that’s what we crossed, the supper stunning Mount Batur. It’s an active volcano. If we had another day in hand, we would have really trekked through this. In fact, this is the only thing I want to go back to Bali for. πŸ™‚

The first view of Mount Batur. Absolutely breathtaking.

Next stop was Pura Uluan Danu Batur, Kintamani. This is a temple of Goddess of lakes and rivers.Β Acc to wiki, Pura Batur and the village of Batur were located down in the caldera at the foot of Mount Batur, an active volcano. A violent eruption in 1926 destroyed both the village and the temple, except for the most important shrine, an 11-tiered meru dedicated to Dewi Danu. The villagers moved to the highest and oldest rim of the caldera, where they rebuilt their village and the temple.

We were so tired after this trip that we decided to go back to the hotel. On our way back, I couldn’t stop seeing the lake below and it was very close to Mt Batur. A bit of convincing to Mr Husband and we decided to drive down between the villages and towards Lake Batur. We stopped for coffee and snacks in the middle of nowhere just watching the view and enjoying our time. We were super close to Mount Batur and then came the Lake. You see the pics below. I don’t know how to put the amount of beauty the place had in words. If there were many heavens on earth, one of them would look like this. πŸ™‚

Looks like such a fun fun trip! Loved the outfit in the previous post – this one is cute too. In fact when I travel I have a tendency to dress more like this. comfort above all else πŸ˜›
Btw in some of the pics are you carrying a go-pro camera? Keep wondering.
glad to have seen bali and KL through ur eyes. Heres to you having many more amazing travel adventures.

    • Rati says:

    • Rati says:

Cali you HAVE to go there. I dont know what else to say. It turned out to be a breathtakingly beautiful place. I dint expect it to be this stunning. awww thanks . πŸ™‚ It was totally sanjeev’s vision to click that pic. πŸ™‚

  3. Ananya says:

I love your total outfit specially your pants and your tiara will come in my dream tonight.
You and Sanjeevji look perfect together. In Bengali , just “fatafati”.
As for Bali , I am speechless to see its beauty. The Lake Batur pic is simply the “Kuch na Kaho” pic. I mean,it is simply “just look into the pic and soak in the beauty as much as possible silently” type place.

  4. neha s. says:

loved lake batur! share some food pics too if you can πŸ™‚

    • Rati says:

towards the end of the trip i was thinking that I have stopped clicking pics of food for some reason. We had some amazing indian meals there but I have kinda lost interest in clicking food. So on the airport while coming back i took pics of my sandwich and coffee. πŸ˜› I will share them in my next post.

  7. Janhavi says:

Lungi dance !!!! bahahahahahahaha! Jomooooo too funny πŸ˜› now im imagining the song with rati and sanjeevji instead of DP and SRK πŸ˜› cuteness!

Ratidoooo maybe change the coconut water caption to “coconut mein lassi milake!” πŸ˜€

    • Rati says:

hahhahha!!!! Jomo is mad!!! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Btw the coconuts we massive there. I could only manage one a day. After 10 minutes I was hunting for a loo after drinking it. But was yum. i also used to scrape the malai out of like “bhookey tourists who have never seen coconuts”. 😐

  8. I am surely gonna visit Bali πŸ˜€ btw Rati beautiful πŸ˜€ speciallyy those glasses πŸ˜€

  9. janhavi says:

    • Rati says:

    • Rati says:

Pinky, yes it was an EPIC trip. I can’t put it any other way. Your remember the beach from yesterday’s post? The sea had rocks inside it so I hurt myself. πŸ™ You literally had to look inside the water and walk in. Thankfully the water was crystal clear so I got saved a lot. πŸ™‚

Thank you and Bali SHOULD be on your must do list. πŸ™‚

      Thanks saee! πŸ™‚

We were planning to go for a vacation to Malaysia and Singapore for 10 days in May. And after reading ur posts for the past two days, i have decided to cancel Singapore from my list and go to Bali instead πŸ˜› convinced hubby too πŸ™‚ wil be booking the the tickets in d weekend!! eagerly waiting for ur next post Rati πŸ™‚ Fab pics!!!!

    • Rati says:

OMG! singapore is a fab place but nothing compares to Bali. My post would be coming up on monday. Would you be able to wait till then? If there is anything specific, drop in a mail at mirrorobsession[at]gmail and I’d try to reply. πŸ™‚ I am quite excited for you. :))

  13. Sanjeev says:

Good decision Soundarya. Kuala Lumpur and Singapore are exactly similar cities. And going to two cities only will get you bored. Either do a beach destination in Malaysia and then go to Singapore or go to Malaysia and Bali. πŸ™‚

    • Soundarya says:

We have planned to do 2 days in Langkawi ,so that wud make up the beach πŸ˜› but, stil my love for bali has reached d peak aftr these lovely posts πŸ™‚

  14. sweta says:

will show these pics to husband !!

  15. Mishti says:

This place is soooo peaceful….. πŸ™‚ My parents took me n my sister to Singapore, kuala lumpur and Genting on my 16th birthday…. I was so mesmerized to see singapore , that i got totally bored in Kuala lumpur. Wish I had gone to Bali. This place seems so quite and lovely. Looking at the piks one feels like sitting with a pen and a writing pad… and expressing each expression πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ :)… The thought of it makes me smile…. Lovely post πŸ™‚

    • Rati says:

You really must do bali soon. :)) Both singapore and kuala lumpur are amazing but bali has its own magical charm. Must do it! :))

I totally agree with what you have written. πŸ™‚

      Thank you :))

  16. Savita says:

    Hi Rati,

  19. Wow, glad to know you have visited Bali!
I am Indonesian, but unfortunately i haven’t come to Bali, which is a shame πŸ™
You’re right about the magical atmosphere about Bali and everything around it, something sacred lies down! >.<
    skullsneyeballs.blogspot.com

  20. And oh anyway, I think you should state Bali, Indonesia instead of just Bali, because Bali is a city, and it is inside Indonesia as the country, like Malaysia and also Singapore. Thank you πŸ™‚

  21. Manasi says:
