Budapest, Hungary

Hi Everyone, 🙂

We are in Budapest, Hungary right now. Honestly, some cities you already know about and dream about. But I had zero clue about what Budapest would be like. For me it’s like one of the many European cities I have been to. It’s gorgeous in architecture, slow, very heavy in history and culture but a little boring. It’s like a one time experience and we are kinda done with it. 🙂 But this is the beauty of travel. It comes with its own surprises and I am truely grateful to be experiencing all of them. 🙂

Lots of things to tell you. Let me start one by one. 🙂

Some Goods!

The weather is just gorgeous. I now understand why people in this part of the world get so excited about spring. The lanes are laden with flowers, the air is crisp and there is beauty everywhere around.

The first day we took rather slowly. We walked to the Hero’s Square, one of the major squares in Budapest. It has quite a significance in Hungaraian history.

Next we walked to Szechenyi thermal bath and spent time there in the pool. It was a brilliant experience. A huge warm natural spring pool with hundreds of people chilling out together. Strangers become friends while hanging by the pool. People are playing chess, couple are getting cosy and everyone is getting their tan on… it’s quite a sight! 🙂 Should be on your bucket list for sure. 🙂

The next day we walked all the way to check some gorgeous architectures of the city – the Parliament, Chain Bridge and Buda Castle. Each beautiful in its own way.

I wore this long comfy shirt dress by Huemn and styled it with a shirt around my waist. These nikes, my Celine bag and these sunglasses are my most favourite companions during this trip. Can’t get enough of them. 🙂

Some Bads
There is a language problem here. People speak Hungarian mostly. In most cases they would be able to understand and you could work your way around. Still it’s a problem in the shops when the shop assistants don’t understand what you want to buy.

Vegetarian food is a bit of a problem but Italian food is easily available. There are also a lot of Indian restaurants around such a Salam Bombay or Bombay Curry box .. look out for them if you are craving for a Indian food. 🙂

We stayed at the Corinthia Hotel. They are a 5 star hotel with a ton of issues. The staff is a bit cold and has a problem with understanding English. The worst kind of housekeeping we have ever seen. They don’t even make rooms in evening. They don’t provide a single bottle of complimentary water in the room. When you come back to the room, the tea cups are still dirty and your shoes are still lying around. If you complain to them, they take it in quite laid back way. We complained twice about housekeeping then gave up. The food was good. The hotel is gorgeous. Still not recommended. You would be able to find a ton of better hotels at this cost. Btw Le Meridian is right by the bank of Danube river and all the important places are a 2 minute walking distance from there. Can’t say about anything else but the location is gorgeous

Shopping was also quite okay dokey. Nothing too exciting.

I hope you enjoy the pics. I would also be sharing part 2 soon. We did some real exciting stuff. 😀

Love you looodsss. Talk to you soon! :))
