We are having such an awesome time here in Dubai. First, although we have been planning to buy a phone connection every single day, we have just not been able to. I was super uneasy because of lack of internet on my phone for the first day but the next day I realized that I was actually enjoying myself more without the phone. I miss out on so many things because half of the time I am just stuck with my cell phone. 😐 So anyway. Yesterday after lunch we went to ‘The Dubai Mall’ for some shopping. Before I start, always carry your flats with you if you visiting the super huge Dubai malls. Even though you would find ladies strutting in their 6 inches, trust me as a tourist you would want to explore the place and heels would kill your feet. Well! even flats did but still I could walk at the end of the day. 😛
Dubai is like the fashion capital. There is a continuous fashion parade going on. You would get to the best of bags and shoes all around you. Women are carrying their Chanels and Birkins like there is no tomorrow. Loved it! 😀
I checked out Louis Vuitton store yesterday and it felt like I had entered a fish market. 5 minutes and I was out. 😛 I am seriously beginning to wonder if LV is cheap or superbly popular. 😛 Dior had more or less the same collection that we find here in India. But they had a stunning ostrich Lady Dior, which went into my wish list. Chanel had a que outside their store because there were way too many people inside. I could not bother to wait. Then we checked out Michael Kors – gorgeous store but not that great a collection. Coach was excellent. But the best among the lot were Chloe and Stella Mc Cartney. Yet to check out a ton of places. Dubai Mall needs another visit. 😛
A friend spotted Stella Mc Cartney bags and I finally picked upthis gorgeous Faleballa. We decided to check more bags before we zeroed on this one but I couldn’t stop thinking about it once I saw it. So there it is my first purchase from Dubai. 🙂 I loveed the bag. I did a mini modeling for all of us with the bag when we came back. hihih
Clothing wise we only checked Top Shop. I think Zara rocks. 😉
So that’s day one. Sanjeev has fallen ill so we would be taking a bit slow today. Sharing some pics from yesterday. 🙂
