Tea at Elma’s Cafe , Hauz Khas Village

vintage cupsWhile walking through the narrow lanes of Hauz Khas Village, we discovered a quaint bakery shop called ‘Elma’s Bakery, Cakes and Tea Room.‘ It is a British Bakery, and they have sort ofΒ maintainedΒ that old world charm of the place. A chalkboard menu, cute floralΒ crockery, and a vintag decor feels warm and welcoming the moment you step in. It’s the kind of place you want to sit in with your friends and chat away for hours. πŸ˜€

We just ordered tea and a ‘dead man’ cookie (they had halloween cookies) hihih πŸ˜› The tea was refreshing and the cookie just melted in my mouth. We were in a hurry today but weΒ definitelyΒ plan to visit the place again.

It’s sooo cute. I am quite inspired to bring that vintagey feel at my home as well. Let’s see where I start. ^_^

Btw , we went to Hauz Khas Village to buy my Karvachauth outfit. Geee!! I am soooo excited to flaunt it. πŸ˜€

How is the week coming along for you guys? πŸ™‚

Top with moustache! I louuuuuu it! I have been looking for these mucchhad-singh kind of accessories but can’t seem to find any. 😐 I once saw this girl wearing a supercool moustache pendant and wanted to snatch it off her neck.

The cafe is so cute! I especially loved that umbrella stand – it’s so vintage-y. πŸ˜€ At first, when the pictures were loading, I thought the place sounded like Umbridge’s office but I am SO glad it isn’t. πŸ˜›

I love the ye olde Englande feel of it all… so quaint. There is this lovely cafe in Fort Cochin, called the Teapot Cafe, which has similar displays, but its a little more rustic. I love these vintagey places!

I’ve heard so much abt this place! Missed visiting it this time. Try Capri Villaggio for lovely food and ambiance if you haven’t already πŸ™‚ love the Victorian feel of Elma’s, would be perfect for a Lit grad like me πŸ˜€ in the pic you look rather naughty, like you’re plotting something! xx
