Ishaqzaade

I watched Ishaqzaade yesterday. Can I cry and say that I am in love again *double sniff* . The movie was outstanding . It was a simple love story dealt just differently or let’s say it looks more believable.  And for people like me who have seen a bit of struggle to make their love stories come true, the movie just hits the spot. I liked the ending too but that little “gyaan” statement on the screen at the end was quite a bummer for me. I think more than the script it was the acting skills of both Parineeti and Arjun that stole the show. Boy! I really wish these two become big stars in future. Such talented young chaps! And aww! I thought Gauhar Khan was quite cute in her small role in the movie. My new favourite cheezy song is definitely “Hua Chokra Jawaan re” now. :P You guys must watch Ishaqzaade atleast once. Well! I think I can watch it many times. :)

And for those who come to Faux Pas for their fashion dose, there you have it. Two of my favourite colors in perfect harmony. :)

I too loved the movie Rati..Though many people found it boring. I loved Arjun Kapoor’s rustic look and his smile OMG !!! Parineeti too has done a fab job. After watching the movie, I wanted to fall in love all over again :) :) and you are abolutely right in saying “And for people like me who have seen a bit of struggle to make their love stories come true, the movie just hits the spot” I am sailing in the same boat :):)

    • Rati says:

www shefali. hope you struggle gets over soon. :)) I know they movie was like OMG! it should keep on going kinds. Loved it to bits! :)

  2. Tara says:

  5. Janhavi says:

I didnt like the movie at all :( just Parineeti – she’s a star to be sure. Love the shoes though :P sooo pretty and droooly

    • Rati says:

hawww you no liked? why. ( parineeti was toh outstanding. she over-shined arjun completely. I feel she keeps this bit of “her” as she grows to be a big star and not become all suave and fake. :|

      thankoo :)

      • Rati says:

j doo btw my comments are not showing on your bloggie. :(

        • Janhavi says:

:( I dunno why – chalo idhar hi bol do :P I dunno _ like in ishaqzaade I would loved ki they escape, then in delhi she finishes her education, works in politics and then returns to almore and fights the elections against both chauhan and qureshi and wins – or returns as the cm or something – that would have been awesome – I really love happy endings! The 1st half was good, the second half was pointless and i dunno they just fell in love so easily – ki at the end I didnt even cry – I couldnt feel the pain u know and im a sobber _ so to me it was too thanda :(

I agree with you, I totally hope parineeti keeps her charm and doesnt turn into one of those la di da stars *fingers crossed*

          • Rati says:

j doo, actually i also dint cry in the end. But I dont think they were aiming for a sympathetic ending either. Were they? I liked your point of view but wouldnt that have stretched the movie? I want to see your movie now. :D Any plans? hihih

And i loved *the look of * your coffeee icecream.. haww I have been such a hardcore fan of nescafe all my life. Hate bru. NOw you say nescafe is all processesd. *smugg* I havent had that softy since ages now. I badly want to now. Super tempted. Eating icecream at night has its own fun no? :)

            • Janhavi says:

Come to Mumbai sometime – we can go have all these ice creams :P Dontchoo have some faab ice cream parlours in delhi – that nirulas and all ???? I love late night ice cream – so much fun – sometimes at home I’ll wake up at midnight and find my mom gorging on a tub and then I join her and its just such an experience.

have you ever noticed that Nescafe tastes nothing like a cappucino ? Its coz its processed – given a choice I would have neither nescafe nor Bru, im all for freshly roasted coffee beans :P But strangely enough I like Nescafe ka cold coffee – you know the home made one you make in the mixie :D

              • Rati says:

I know J doo. I am dying to come to mumbai. First one of my closest friend stays there and second , I want to shop in Mumbai. Seriously man! I must make a plan.

haan nescafe ki cold coffee toh rocks. I especially bought bru ki cold coffee coz they were giving free shakers. Coffee sucked. Shakers rock. :D

    Thanx ya… :)

  7. Devie says:

Gauhar Khan is in the movie! I’m definitely watching it now…I miss her since Khan Sisters went off the air (don’t judge it was only for the makeup and “fashion” :P :P)

Love the shoes — so classic!

  8. Manu says:

I really like the music of this movie. Will definitely watch it now..was waiting for a good review :) Loved Parineeti’s girl next door look in this movie ……..

  9. Manu says:

Ur shoes Rati…love! Nude and black can never go wrong!! :)

  10. swastika says:

I love your shoes..am such a digger for nude shoes..How much was the damage? coz i want them badly:(

    • Rati says:

ummmm… damage.. I’d say investment. :)) I think these were around 6k. not sure of the exact price though.. :(

  11. Jabberwocky says:

Those shoes are SO pretty! True example of simplicity and beauty. Good God! I have Hritik Roshan of Kaho Na Pyaar Hai speaking in my head now – “Saadgi mein khoobsoorti hai” and what not. :| I haven’t watched Ishaqzaade yet. In the middle of exams and totally off movies and other distractions. Maybe that’s why Hritik Roshan is talking in my head. :P

And you’re totally right. Arjun Kapoor looks unbelievably hot in that look. When I saw “Hua chhokra jawan re”, I was kinda drooling. :P

    • Rati says:

I know we never got see THAT hritik roshan again no.. :( Sad but guess once you become a celeb, you sort of grow how in a different way. Part of life. I think except may be sushmita sen all of them have been so raw and fresh when they entered the industry and then all of them saw their way up.

That song is driving me nuts. I go watch again. :P

  12. i have to watch it NOW…waiting for a good print here…

  13. Rati says:

  14. Rati says:

oh! May be the right man has not walked in your life yet. :) Don’t think I have read that. Do let me know how you find it. :)

  15. Jabberwocky says:

I just received Norwegian Wood a few days back as a gift from a friend too! I am told that it’s one of the best love stories ever. I just want to read it for Murakami’s crazy writing. :P Do you like it, Nidhi?

  16. Rati says:

nooooo!!! You take over the weekend and send… beeeji toh I lovedd. I want to bring her home. lolll!
