Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Day 1

Soaking the beauty of cave villas

Hi Everyone, πŸ™‚

Here’s my first post from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. πŸ™‚ Malaysia is around 3 hours ahead of India. So It’s 1:30 am here right now. πŸ™‚ We reached here super early morning. So we caught up with quick breakfast and quick nap and then quickly headed off to our sight seeings.

The first stop was Batu Caves. It’s a series of cavesΒ and cave temples and a popular sight seeing amongst tourists. We had to climb 272 steps. Not an easy feat because one, it was raining today and two, the steps were steep. The statue you see in the pics below is a statue of Murun. Acc to wikipedia “Standing at 42.7 m (140 ft) high, the world’s tallest statue of Murugan, a Hindu deity, is located outside Batu Caves, near the city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The statue, which cost approximately 24 million rupees, is made of 1550 cubic metres of concrete, 250 tonnes of steel bars and 300 litres of gold paint brought in from neighbouring Thailand.”

On our way back, we took a tour to the Cave Villas. It was such a scenic beauty created Β in the middle of nowhere. You walk on the bridge, enjoy the view of pond full of colourful fish and head towards the caves. The first one was reptile cave. I seriously hated it. The sight of reptiles freak me out. πŸ˜› Then as I gathered my strength and started seeing the animals, I felt so sad of them. πŸ™ There was little turtle trapped in the pond. It was struggling to swim but couldn’t because there was no space. The huge fish were kept in little water…so on and so forth. I somehow managed the walk. There were colorful parrots waiting after you come out of the cave. They totally make your day. Though the same sad story is true for them all but they are soooo cute, you couldn’t help but fall in love with them. Two of them sat on my shoulder and then made their way up on my hat and started perching there. πŸ˜›

Sanjeev and I later headed to the Pavillion Mall Β and Bukit Bintang. We kept walking, did a bit of shopping and ended the day in the most amazing way. you have to check the last bit of pics in this post. πŸ™‚

It was a fab day and Sanjeev has captured every moment so gorgeously. We have still to decide what we have to do tomorrow. But I’d keep you posted on my Facebook and Instagram. πŸ™‚

Good Night! πŸ™‚
