Meeting Janhavi

Hiya Everyone, :))

My second and the last day in Mumbai was again filled with beautiful memories. I met 3 very important people on Thursday and one of them was Janhavi. :)

I have known her since the beginning of IMBB and there was no way I was coming back to Delhi without meeting her. We met at the hotel and then a friend dropped us at the colaba causeway. We had a ton of fun shopping and bargaining at Colaba. We went mad trying out things, clicking photos and doing insane bargaining with the vendors there. hhihih

Then we headed to the Kala Ghoda area, where she told me storie about the libraries and  art galleries located there. While walking through the quaint streets of the area we discovered two stunning stores by Sabyasachi. There is reason why he is so incredible. Each piece in his store was different but still each piece screamed ‘Sabyasachi’. :)

Janhavi and I headed to the Kala Ghoda Cafe (recommended by an instagram buddy, Sonu . thanx :) ) and spent that afternoon chitchatting about life, food, friends, people, I phone, and careers. I can’t wait to see her again. :)

J doo, I love you loadsss. you rock! Mwwaahh!!

Sharing some pics from my last day in Mumbai. :)

    • Rati says:

thanks saee. I think each piece of hers is unique. It’s a beautifully made jewelery. I think you should invest in her pieces. :)) welcome aboard! :)

  4. Janhavi says:

I loooooooove all these random clicks ! Especially candy man waala – looks like a lady gaga dress :p

Me tooooo had a great time that day !

  5. Janhavi says:

Half my comment only disappeared :-(

I am sending u loads of love and hugs and some extra hugs just for IMBB …. For being special and bringing people together in uniquely special way , and for all those nights of blog stalking and crazy commenting that gave me something to look forward to the next day. :-)

    • Rati says:

hahaa i have the exact same shrug in white! like exact! super loved the earriings and clutch and the entire styling… i was in these areas today ;) gateway, kalaghoda etc. its like a recap seeing these pics :P

  8. Kat says:

It has been a while since I left a comment. I am enjoying all the posts. Especially the travelogues. Your earrings are so pretty and you look great.

  9. dita says:

    Wauw, love your earrings

  10. Devie says:

Love how you paired the modern — those awesome pants and the color blocking — with the traditional earrings, clutch and the classic watch and shoes. Knocked it straight out the park with this look!

Now to your trip — First, HI JANHAVI!!!! :P You need to resume posting on your blog, man! I need some inspiration to whip out my baking pans!
I can’t look back at Summer/Fall 2010 and not think of you guys and IMBB…I practically lived on there!

Is that a floral blouse and geeky glasses I spot on Janhavi? Totally my style :D BTW, I need to start sharing my own outfit pictures, lest I appear all stalkerish :P

The jewelry you posted IMBB looks VERY high end…you could have said you picked it up from some high end boutique and I’d believe it!

Agree with Nidhi, the captions are absolutely captivating… “Gentle Dental” made me LOL soooooooooooooooo hard!

Tahiliani’s store looks very quaint…and Sabya…well… glad to know everything looked unique, because I think he has been mildly overexposed! Speaking of desi designers…I loved Masaba’s pankha-print dress on you. The color and quirky print made it all sorts of awesome. I hope you didn’t pick up any of the “lipstick” print stuff from her…that print was atrocious! A rare miss from her (in terms of prints…).

O.K. think I should close my essay (just had an energy drink, am hyper; work is killing me!). I play this game in my head where I guess where you and Sanjeev will travel next… you should do hints :P Right now I’m guessing Northeast :) Baaki saare directions ho gaye :P Am i riteee :O ? Am i riteee :P

    • Rati says:

Loved reading your comment devie. :)) Ask her how many times i asked her to start posting on her cutie blog again. I made her feel super guilty so she has promised to post some of the drafts soon. :D Yayy!!

Oh yeah sabyasachi is hyped for a reason… but some of the dresses janhavi and I wondered about their weight.. I am not sure who would one walk in a 10 kh lehenga. I tried pallazo pants at his store and got drowned in them. hihh J doo happily clicked some cute photees of the store. :D

Lipstick print is a little beyond my understanding so… I am not sure. :|

hihihih north and south ki picture abhi baaki hai mere dost. :P :P East I want to go and would start with kolkata I guess. Need to meet sabrina! :))
