Hiya Everyone. 
Sanjeev and I hadn’t had a break since August so we were dying to get out of Delhi. We both love Goa so we came here. This is our third time in Goa and every new experience here is better than the previous ones. And what better time than that around New Year in Goa. I am loving it! 
We are staying at The Lalit Golf and Spa Resort. It is the biggest property in Goa. And it’s beauuuutiful. They have a gorgeous private beach, huge lawns and awesomely spacious suites. It reminds me of Umaid Bhawan in a lot of ways. On the occasion of New Year there are a lot of activities planned here. There is a special Gala Dinner and then an all night beach party. Some competitions have been planned for the day as well but we are just planning to enjoy the beach and the sun tomorrow.
We reached here at 5 in the evening so got to spend very little time here yet. The manager who has been attending to us turned out to be from my hometown. So she specially got a fresh complimentary cake baked for us. That was cute.
I am so loving the weather. For someone like me who does not enjoy winters too much, a Goan break is almost God sent. I feel a sense of freedom in my light airy clothes, light shoes and almost nil accessories. Sharing some pics with you from today. Some more pics HERE

Jojo, guess you should explore hotels and places in north Goa. Beaches such as Calangute, Baga and Anjuna are a must visit. There are lovely local markets also near the beaches only.I personally like Baga more than the others. You can hire a car or a scooty and check out churches in north Goa.
Look for local stuff such as jewelry or those beachy clothes. You can pick up some really pretty skirts as well.

Lovely pictures. Wish I could be in Goa. Anything to escape the freezing weather of my city. I haven’t seen the sun in a week now and winter depression is setting in.
After about 7-8 years, it’s for the first time that I’ve decided to skip those usual loud New Year parties and am going to spend the night in old Winnie the Pooh pyjamas with my oldest friend, eating pizza and other junk food, drinking way more than anyone would allow, and watching silly romcoms (and perhaps crying over why Hugh Grant is not in our lives). We may do also do a few crank calls later.
