The Game of Thrones Tour, Dubrovnik, Croatia

let me show you around. : D

Hi Everyone, 🙂
These are the photos from Day 2 of our trip in Dubrovnik Croatia. We did the Game of thrones Tour. We are not the real fans because we have not watched the series but still did the tour because you know..why not. 🙂 It was the most amazing day of our trip. During the first half of the day we did the tour and during the second half we did sunset kayaking. Honestly, both were magical in their own rights. The GOT Tour made us see the gorgeous locations of the old town and the prettiest hidden alleys that we might have missed out ourselves. And the second half was the sunset kayaking tour. We started at around 5pm and were sailing on the ocean, catching the waves, and just being in the middle of nowhere. There were no sounds except the sounds of the waves. We got to close to seeing the gorgeous neon crimson sun go down. Fitness wise, it was quite tasking because you are literally rowing the boat for 3 hours sometimes with the waves and sometimes against it. You may opt for a smaller tour but our whole group wanted to do the longer one. So we did and I would do it all over again. We reached the bank around 8 pm when it got a little dark and the big ships has started showing up. Finished off the day with a bunch of lovely people. Had some champagne. Headed back to the hotel and ordered in the dinner. I hope you like the photos. I have one more post from Croatia to share with you all. I would do that soon. 🙂

PS : You can book the tours at the old town or from your hotel itself. Continue reading

Postcards from Dubrovnik, Croatia

hello from paradise : )

Hi Everyone, 🙂
Feels like ages I have updated FauxPas! But you know, I missed writing here and sharing pictures with you all. Sanjeev and I are in Dubrovnik, Croatia at the moment. it is my birthday trip. We planned it way in advance and were literally dying to come here. For those of you who are a fan of The Game of Thrones, well this is literally your dream come true. We stayed in Paris for one day and then travelled here. I’d share all the trip planning details in coming posts. Sharing pictures from 1+1/2 day of our day in this gorgeous dreamy land. Hope you like it. 🙂 Also, I keep sharing my trip updates on facebook and Instagram too, incase you want to see little videos along with. 🙂 I hope you enjoy the pics Sanjeev took. I myself wait to see the places through his lens and then I keep drooling over them :P.

PS : the pics you see below are of the Wall Tour we did at Dubrovnik. It’s a long 2 km walk along the battlements. You get a gorgeous view of the sea and the old town from the top. The walls date back to some 13th century. It’s a must do if you are visiting Dubrovnik. If you are interested in a bit of history, you can even do guided tours as well. We did on our town. My only tip would be wear good shoes and carry a bottle of water with you. It’s going to be a good workout. 😀

Can’t wait to share more photos with you all soon. Loooads of love! <3 Continue reading

London Diaries 2017

Hi Everyone, 🙂
Sanjeev and I are travelling to London once again. We came here a few months back only for my birthday, I did not know that we’d come back so soon already. We absolutely love this place. We are staying in a cozy apartment here, cooking our meals, working from here and just enjoying the slow pace of life for a while. We came here with big plans of travelling but the weather has been so unfavourable to travel anywhere around that we are quite stuck where we are. But it’s all good. I am not complaining. This was the change I was really looking forward to. I hope you enjoy the photos. Will share more soon. Please nudge Sanjeev a bit to click more photos, alright. He is being super lazy. 😛
Loove you all. Mwwaaah! 🙂 Continue reading

Apartment Living in Paris

fendi-backpack

Hi Everyone, 🙂

I am sharing this last post from Paris wih you all. Our trip to Paris this time was unlike any other trips we have had. While travelling all these years and staying at some of the most gorgeous hotels in the world, we somewhere developed a craving for staying in an apartment..just the way locals do. It was very fascinating for both of us. It’s like unveling the secrets behind those gorgeous French Balconies. 😛 We wanted to travel slow, not really be bothered about visiting at every hot point in the city and just taking each day as it comes. And we did that and it was one of the most amazing things ever. I mean we won’t be doing that all the time but every once in a while. It’s like having a home away from home. It was very comforting. So today I am want to share the details of where we stayed, how we managed and what were the challenges we faced.

We stayed at Jean Charles Apartment loft at Les Marais. We found it through Air Bnb. It was such a lovley , airy and spacious apartment. Probably my living room here in India is as big as the whole apartment we had in Paris. 😛 But it was airy, spacious, well maintained, and just very cute. The hosts were so nice. The kitchen was pretty spacious. We had a cute dining table. Oh! The bathroom had no doors. It reminded me of our hotel in Spain.:P The bathroom was separated by a wall. If you are not really staying there with your partner, I would not recommend it. They provided us with fresh towels and sheets weekly. In kitchen you had everything – kettle, dishwasher, oven, utensils..You had a washing machine, dryer and iron downstairs. If you needed anything, you would alwys message the hosts and they were always helpful. I mean I could go on and on! The area was gorgeous. Monoprix (their department cum food store) was right nextdoor. The street had the most gorgeous restaurants and coffee shops. That area was famous for its restaurants so it was always buzzing with people. There were loveliest vintage stores, nail salons, museum and books shops in that area. Sometimes we cooked at home, sometimes we used to go downstairs to eat and just walk around.. You know it was like a new day every day. No plans. Just work, relax, enjoy wyourself and plan as you go. 🙂 Continue reading

Wish You All a Very Happy Diwali :)

diwali-2016-outfit-2
Hi Everyone, 🙂
Wish you alll a very Happy Diwali. I am terribly missing my family this time around.Anyway, I’d crib some other time about this some other time. It’s a festive day and it just deserves all happy vibes. I very proudly wore this outfit complete with the nath to shoot this outfit. I am sure I left a lot of French people confused. A lot of them give me weird looks and a lot of them gave me a warm smile. I couldn’t care about being stared. It’s our Diwali, I am far from my family so I would do whatever I want to do man! 😛 😛 I even lit a little diya. 😛 The only thing I knew about my Diwali outfit was that I wanted to wear this nath and the rest followed. 🙂

I hope you all have an amazing Diwali. Light a candle for me too and eat an extra sweet from my side as well. :)) I will talk to you all very soon. BIG HUG! Continue reading
