Travel Tag

Since I travel so much, someone mailed me these questions to do a travel tag. Here you go. πŸ™‚

1. How many countries have you visited?
I have visited only 4 countries so far – UAE, Singapore, Nepal, Thailand. Not sure if I should count India because most of my travel had been in India. πŸ™‚

2. Why do you travel?
My passion for travel started because of my husband. Ever since I have met him he has been sharing his dreams about travel. But now I am addicted to travel myself and I feel travel enriches me. The kind of experiences I gain from my travels I would never ever experience them sitting at home. Now we have found Indy and Richa from Indiaopines who are super passionate about travelling themselves and have travelled all over the world. Their perspective of travelling is completely different and interesting from anyone I have ever come across so far. πŸ™‚

As they say ‘Travel is the only thing you buy makes your richer’.

3. Favorite city or country?
I think so far India. I looove to travel in India. There are so many unexplored places that India offers. It amazes me how most people project India as country of slums and poverty. I’d say they need to read my blog. πŸ˜‰ The kind of history and diversity that India offers is beyond any words can explain. You just need to see and experience it on your own. πŸ™‚

4. Most memorable experience abroad?
I haven’t had any major memorable experience aboard but have many from my travels in India. The most magical moments have been created by Taj undoubtedly – our stay at Umaid Bhawan which got us addicted to palace travels, living thousands of feet above at the center of a rain forest in Coorg which felt so surreal, and staying in the middle of the lake in Lake Palace Udaipur which was beyond imagination. Our recent visit to Kashmir got us closest to the most controversial and the most beautiful place in India…all at the same time.

5. Best item purchased abroad?
I have a passport holder from Singapore that has ‘I love travel’ written all over it. I picked it up from a stationery shop. The design makes it super easier to handle the documents on the airport. Β I haven’t been able to find anything similar anywhere.

6. Advice for those who want to travel but think they can’t?
Don’t think. Just travel. πŸ™‚ There are ups and downs that come with travel but they all become part of who you are. Some trips are awesome, some average and some very rocky but it’s that element of surprise that makes travel so exciting. πŸ™‚

I’d love to read your answers on the questions written above. :))

Have to share my massive travel post to Gulmarg on Monday so stay tuned. πŸ™‚

Love you all!!! :-*
