I am looking forward to a lazy weekend. A new book in hand and a chilled tall glasses of iced coffee; a comforting balm after an intense week. I’d light some aromatic candles around me and let the therapeutic aroma calm my senses. I’d also try to get ample amount of sleep, rest and book-reading.
I am wearing a 50s inspired pleated midi skirt. This skirt reminds me of my school time. Only I wish the school skirt was also in the shade of fuchsia than in the unpleasant shade of cobalt. It would have been a sheer joy to wear a uniform back then. During the growing up years, I became a little picky about the pleats of my skirt – I wanted it to be crisply ironed. So after my regular cribbing, 
my mom decided to teach me how to iron the pleats. Every night, I’d iron my skirt pleat by pleat and hang it straight into the almirah so that it stayed crisp and spruce for me to wear to the school. Not to mention that I’d use to smoothen the pleats before sitting so as to maintain the true form of the skirt. Oh dear!

Hehe.. So agree with u rati.. I was also totally obsessed abt the pleats of my skirt after class 5 if i recall correctly.. I too started ironing my skirt so as to get them perfectly.. We used to have red skirts with white tops.. N i loved loved wearing those skirts.. Hehe.. This look of urs is inspiring me to go back to wearing skirts again

it is a little high maintenance than your regular flooring tara but sanjeev always wanted wooden flooring so we went ahead with it. it looks fabulous, i must tel you that.

Wow how do you make macaroni? Anything special? I dont drink lassi because I feel so drowsy that i ahve to sleep for good hour or so after drinking a single glass.

weekend has been pretty lazy. yday did absolutely nothing. watched TV, ate, slept and watched some more TV. My husband made some nice roasted veggies so that with a glass of some wonderful Sula wine ended my day perfectly. Sunday has been nice so far. What started as just a shoes buying trip for Sachin (my husband) turned out to be a nice outing with some lovely pasta and garlic bread for lunch.
btw I did teach my maid to give some nice head massages so thats been amazing..
you know i have been thinking of teaching my maid to give me oil massage. Now i MUST.
I sort of worked only. but went out with sanjeev for an early dinner today. did some shopping (please check imbb hihihih) . Somehow the food that hubbys make always taste tastier no?
I also make sanjeev make something or the other for me atleast once a week. I mean he cooks simple eggs or macaroni and they taste like heaven.

Awww…u looking adorable Rati..I toh was a complete tomboy in school days..and would end up creasing my skirt within minutes of wearing it..I had to get so much scolding from my mom, and slowly and steadily she changed me into a girl who could take care of her skirt and pleats well!!
cali, my mom wanted me to be girly girly. i’d say jeans, she say frocks. i’d say pyjamas and she’d say short nighties.
hihihih I was quite confused while growing up but I guess now I enjoy being all girly.

Heyoooooo – the weekend is over but here is what I did. On Saturday I wan shopping with my 2 year old cousin at Hamley’s and on Sunday I left for Indore. its good fun with the whole family together and well who doesnt love a wedding ?

Also I Have funny unifor memories. I used to have a pinafore uniform when I was young. Then I went to a school with no uniform :O In the 9th and 10th I was in another school that had a denim skirt for a uniform – absolutely loved it !!! and in 11th 12th I had a proper skirt blouse but no pleats
I never liked the uniforms much though, I used always try to subvert it. Like wear painted canvas shoes and all.

It has totally be sanjeev’s ream to have wooden flooring . and he has convinced my mom (how is mad about decor btw) to have wooden flooring as well. It’s just the matter of time and some puppy faces infront of dad that she’d get stuff done.

the only memories i have of canvas shoes is – saturday uniform and rubbing chalk all over the shoes because there was never enough time to use a wet white polish. OMG the applicator was horrids

the pink colour is one of my favorites.. I’ve been to 6-7 schools during my childhood days because of my dad’s transferable jobs..each new school meant a new uniform.. believe me I never got bored that way
