A Day at Hauz Khas Village

Hauz Khas

Hauz Khas Village is one place where Sanjeev and I love to hang out. Hauz Khas Village is more of a delightful experience that you accumulate hopping from one little shop to the other. It’s like a little fantasy land where you want to go lost for hours. The beautifully themed cafes, the little trinket shops, and the talented designer stores – everything fits beautifully. You can only hope that the little the place never loses its old world charm. I picked up two dresses and a few jewelry pieces from Ogaan and random boutiques out there. Delhi is getting insanely hot and all you can think of wearing are airy skirts and dresses. Phew! ย today I wore THIS dress, THESE sandals, THIS bag, andย THIS ring. ๐Ÿ˜›

After a little shopping trip, Sanjeev and I hit the first cafe in the vicinity for a quick bite. It’s called the Ziro Cafe. Actually I didn’t know what to expect. First the shaky flight of stairs made me a bit uncomfortable (it’s a three storyed cafe). And as opposed to the kind of places I have been to so far, this was totally different. The sweet welcome from the staff there put me at ease. I loved the whole vintagey vibe of the cafe. It was the kind of places where you would want to order pints of beer, and read for hours. They have books lying there too. Best, they play Bob Dylan all the time. We ordered the basic stuff such as cheese maggi , teas, and bread omelette. It was cooked to perfection. Loved.

On the flight downstairs they have a cute little shop where they sell a lot of recycle stuff such a wallets made out of fruit juice cartons, books made out of elephant poo poo ๐Ÿ˜› and some random jewelry.

Btw those who have been Master Chef Australia’s fan, they have started up with Master Chef Junior episodes. I watched the first episode today, and it was brilliant. Geee!! I am so happy to see Gary and John back in action.

Enjoy the pics! ๐Ÿ™‚
