Phi Phi Island Tour, PhuketFaux Pas

Hi Everyone, 🙂

Yesterday we went on a day long trip to Phi Phi island. It was suggested to us by friends and we asked our trip manager to add it in our trip. from Phuket, it’s a 2 hour sail to the island. More than the island, it’s the journey to the island that’s super exciting. You are sailing on a mighty ocean in the middle of nowhere. Sanjeev and I barely sat. We were pretty much standing on the deck throughout and just soaking in the beauty. It was like spending time with your partner without actually having to say anything at all. 🙂

Somewhere in the middle of nowhere, the ship stopped and those who wanted to snorkel could do so. I was most amazed the see the various colors of the ocean – it changed form blue to turquoise to cyan and shades of green. The water was crystal clear through out. Check out this mini video HERE

The Phi Phi island itself is a tiny island. The number of people visiting the place is much more than how much an island can actually take at one time. Nevertheless the white sand and the view of the picturesque sea makes it totally worth a visit.

We barely had 2 hours to enjoy the place. The first thing we did was to actually jump in the ocean and enjoy as much as we could 😀 I won’t call it the best beach since the ocean is very calm there. So the waves are not actually refreshing the water on the shore… at-least not during the day time. So you do get the feel on the stagnant water until you go a little deep in the sea.

The trip back was just sleepy and lazy for all on board. We reached our hotel by around 5. We had a quick tea and left again the enjoy the streets of Phuket.
