Boudhanath and Pashupatinath, Nepal

The first view of boudhnath

Hi Everyone, πŸ™‚

Sharing a lot of picture with you from our visit to Boudhanath and Pashupatinath Temple today. Both places are a must visit if you are coming to Kathmandu, Nepal. Boudhanth was one-of-its-kind experience. The undeniable faith among the people, the gorgeous statues, the humming prayers, and you being a part of all this; it was as if you have been transferred to a different world altogether.

Clicking photos inside Pashupatinath temple was not allowed so we could not click those photos. I was stunned by the larger than life statues, bells and keen golden details inside the temple. I just felt that they should keep the place a little cleaner.

I hope you enjoy this the trip through Sanjeev’s eyes. πŸ™‚

Btw, thank you for all the lovely suggestions on must see places in Kathmandu. We are totally reading them and trying to check them out in our limited time here. Talk to you soon. *hugs*

Boudhanath happens to be my favourite too. Always visit once on my trip back home. Agree Pashupatinath could be a bit cleaner. I am going to bookmark this entire trip of yours for life. For me its a gift of unforgettable memories in the form of pictures. Now I have somewhere to see when I am feeling homesick. Gettin emotional;). Looking fwd to more pics and oh I think that guy was selling some one string musical instrument or what.. and forgot about the black and white pic its breathtaking the flight..

  8. Nidhi R says:

I forgot to mention that your canary yellow nailpaint matched with the temple surroundings too. It reminded me of ‘ All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful the Lord God made them all’. Apt for these lovely pictures

hiya boy and girl! you guys have put some amazing pics up there. I love religious places more for their location than anything else. You will usually find them atop hills, next to rivers and all. My favourite pics are that of the sweet old man who has all the style and the little girl who is feeding the pigeons. They just look so content in life somehow..
