Hellllooooo!!! :)

cobalt-blue-maxi-skirt-outfit-3 Hi Everyone, πŸ™‚

It feels like ages I have talked to all of you. How have you been? πŸ™‚ I have been pretty busy and trying to focus all my energies on IMBB before Sanjeev and I embark on our next journey. Unfortunately, it’s going to be long that we’d make our next travel. *sad face*. But the nice thing is that we are still in touch with our Indian friends we made in Turkey. πŸ™‚

Anyhoo, I watched two movies – Maleficient and X-Men: Days of Future Past. Loved both of them. Wanted to watch a couple more but Delhi s boiling and it feels like an effort to step out these days.

Oh! And I have got a low BP because of the insane heat. So I am recommended to have lots of buttermilk and gol-gappe water. Who’s complaining? πŸ˜›

Today I went to Wok in the Clouds, Khan Market with Sakshi. We wanted to try their watermelon feta salad because it’s served in real watermelon. πŸ˜› But we ended up trying their kebabs and crepes as well. Everything was insanely good. πŸ˜€

Ummmm rest all is well. you tell me. What’s happening at your end? Any travels coming up? Any movie worth watching? Any book worth reading?

Talk to you all suppper sooon. Mwaaahh!!

You may follow me on facebook or instagram. I keep my chattiness alive there on a day-to-day basis. πŸ˜€

All blue and summery summery Rati, you look so fresh ..infact refreshed:) 3rd pic is bang on !
I too watched Xman -i am a huge fan and so i obviously loved the movie. I also saw Godzilla and it is utter waste of time and money.
We are going to Turkey in August and you posts and tips will help me so much. When will you come to London? You will love British summers, it never boils πŸ˜›
Wanted to ask- which mosque is better in Istanbul?-, as we have less time and so we will not be able to visit both.
And scribble more in your diary….and share πŸ™‚

    • Rati says:

Thank you shweta. Hagia sophia and blue mosque are pretty much right next to each other…almost in the same compound. you can see both of them. πŸ™‚ Even grand bazaar is walking distance from these two. We walked from grand bazaar to blue mosque and hagia sophia.

delhi’s temperature is soaring. it’s seriously bad these days. sometimes during evenings even the leaves don;t move. it’s that hot and dead here. πŸ˜›

and hopefully london trip would be soon.

godzilla… i have always watched it on tv. umm never a fan!

      I’d try. πŸ™‚

      • shweta a says:

still, which mosque is better?? πŸ˜›

        • Rati says:

dont miss hagia sophia then πŸ™‚

        • Afsana Mubarak says:

Hagia sophia is not a mosque its a museum u need atleast 2 hours to see it completely. Blue mosque is a proper mosque and if u go there during d prayer time u h to wait for say 20 mins otherwise its always open . There are many more beautiful mosques around . I know the question was asked to rati but me being living in istanbul could not resist to reply πŸ™‚ πŸ˜‰

  2. Ritika Jaiswal says:

  3. Rati .. πŸ˜€ you are soooo beautiful and graceful πŸ˜€ That bag and shoe added a new life to the whole outfit …. even I love adding a pop of color than just wearing everything matching matching πŸ˜› the makeup is soo good too πŸ˜€ You got BP because of the heat in delhi ??? Think about me .. I live in chennai πŸ˜› , I am living on buttermilk these days πŸ˜› btw always have some packet wala juice … something like Tang and add little salt to it and keep drinking it often .. that helps a lot πŸ˜€ It helped me πŸ˜€

    • Rati says:

you know a lot of people are ending up having low bp here. yesterday only my friend was telling me that her bf also got low bp. This is quite an insane heat we are facing. :p oh! i know about chennai. so many people complain about it. I have restocked my fridge with juices, electrol, and buttermilk. Hopefully would survive the heat madness. πŸ˜›

    Hi Rati,

I have been a quiet visitor to your blog for a while now. Your travel tips are really helpful. I live in California and am a corporate slave. Though I try to satisfy my travel bug as much as possible, traveling through your blog has been equally satisfying off late πŸ™‚ I just came back from Cancun and loved the turquoise waters and rich history there.

Your have great fashion sensibilities and its a treat watching you put outfits together.

Also, I just finished reading “The Lost Flamingoes of Bombay” from Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi. It has it’s bright moments and I enjoyed the ride; recommending it for you. I’m a huge fan of Hugh Jackman so loved X-men but Maleficent will happen with girl-friends, hubby is not keen on such movies.

My family is in Delhi and I heard about the terrible heat wave going on. Take good care of yourself and enjoy the summer fruits.

    • Rati says:

      Hi Sapna,

I have never heard about Cancun . There are sooooo many places to travel in this world. It’s insane. :)) Thank you sooo much. πŸ™‚

The Lost Flamingoes of Bombay – the name sounds good. πŸ™‚ I havent read many indian authors. So this def goes in my list. πŸ™‚

It’s VERY hot here in delhi. not funny. πŸ˜›

oh maleficent would be perfect with girls! πŸ™‚

  9. tamalika says:

  10. Shrishti says:

I am an absolute fan of you and your fashion style. You look like a true diva in whatever u wear and u style everything so fabulously.

I just came back from Maldives. Its the beautiful place-the perfect one for few days of complete peace and relaxation.

This friday the sequel for animation movie-How to train your dragon is releasing. I am waiting for it.

In books I am reading Shantaram. Its a good peek a boo in the life of mumbai. You should also read-The Zoya Factor by Anuja Chouhan-very fun read.

    • Rati says:

  11. Ritu says:

  12. Anupama says:

    Hi Rati,
Love your outfits and everything :-). Btw it doesnt seem like u have low bp. You look so fresh and radiant. I m also from Delhi but living with hubby amy darling 1yo son in Mumbai. I have been a silent reader of your blog for over a yr, but couldnt make out time πŸ™

We’ll be going to dubai this september as an anniversary trip πŸ™‚ hey could you give me some tips regarding sightseeing and shopping there, it’ll b great help.
Anyways u take care of urself and get well soon.

    • Rati says:

actually low bp does not stay like a whole day thing. it kinda dips and then your refuel your body . Then you look and feel fine. Plus there is something called magic of makeup. πŸ˜€

      here’s our dubai trip : http://fashion.makeupandbeauty.com/tag/dubai/

burj khalifa. light dance outside dubai mall are probably some of the things not covered in the posts but you can def do those. πŸ™‚

there is also an amazing skiing experience in emirates mall. you wouldnt find anything like that anywhere. they have managed to make skiing ground in desert. πŸ˜›

and there are desert safaris that happen in dubai. ask your hotel for the details. πŸ™‚

      and SHOP!! It’s a shopping heaven. πŸ™‚

      have a great tip πŸ™‚

  13. Mona says:

Ohh my! You look so pretty Rati. I love the outfit completely and that bag is absolutely so very classy. Wonder how you and Sanjeev managed to click pictures in such scorching weather. There’s only one phrase to describe Delhi summers “Chubhti Jalti Garmi” πŸ˜›

I watched X-Men and Edge of tomorrow. Loved both.

Take care and drink loads of fluids. I am literally living on kachi lassi these days

    • Rati says:

  17. Tara says:

Hey Rati nice piccies and u do look refreshed from your holidays. No trips for me this year as we are busy with our house construction. Will be adding 2 more floors and thats not an easy task! Plus this heat is so daunting. I’m terribly missing vacationing but never mind enjoying the construction stuff as that also happens once in a life time πŸ˜‰ Work is hectic too.
Anyhow I’m curious about your next journey and here’s wishing u both good luck with it πŸ™‚

  18. Anusha says:

    Hi Rati,
I recently moved to Omaha after my wedding, I religiously go through your every post on faux pas and a silent reader on IMBB. I love your fashion senses, I love the way you pose for pictures and I must say you are lucky and blessed to have a hubby who loves to photograph u πŸ™‚

Hawa Hawwai was my last movie, it’s a movie about a child who serves tea and his dream to becoming a skating champion. Iam too planning to watch Holiday, heard good reviews about it.

Rati, from a very long time I was thinking about writing reviews/OOTD on IMBB, I hope ill do it soon wish me all the best, u r my inspiration πŸ™‚

  19. priyanka says:

Your blog is super interesting and your work is truly worth appreciating πŸ™‚

Nice dress , BTW . Crop top looks super cool . πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  20. Devie says:

Rati you look lovely as ever (and so toned too!!!). Feel better soon, eat lots of gol-gappas and get that BP up! I was searching for reviews for a MAC lippie (Girl About Town) and came across your post from 2010. You’ve always been an engaging writer, but you’ve come sooooooooooo far as a “fashionista” (for lack of a better term). I haven’t seen one outfit on you that I wouldn’t wear in a heart beat! Keep blogging on here; we love the beauty and inspiration you bring! Much love <3

  21. Shalini says:

    I just love your style!!

  22. Mahalakshmi says:

I just saw this post. So late. Anyway, You look beautiful πŸ™‚ Such as inspiration you are! And I saw X-Men too. I loved it.:):D

  23. poonam says:

    Hi Rati
You look so cool. and yes Delhi is boiling like anything.. just take care.. one question Rati, me ad my husband are planning a trip out of India.. This will our first so can you suggest some nice budget friendly beautiful destination. I saw your posts about Thailand and turkey.. and feeling Thailand would be nice. as i love beaches. but i am confused. please help me choose πŸ™‚ on terms of places to visit, light on the pocket. and where should we book our package.. also how early we should do so..

    • Rati says:

turkey would be very expensive poonam. so yes thailand would be great. we have been to phuket, phi phi island, pattaya and bangkok in thailand. we liked phuket and bankok combination more amazing than pattaya and bangkok combo. But phuket was again expensive than pattaya. Both were good nevertheless. πŸ™‚ we also did phi phi island, which you MUST do. It’s just a day cruise (ask your hotel if they could arrange for it) but it would be really memorable. Make the bookings 2-3 months in advance. Just check the weather at that time. Monsoons would not be a great time to travel in thailand. and do lots of bangkok street shopping. bargain . πŸ™‚

      have a greta trip. πŸ™‚
