Can you keep a Secret?

sophie kinsella can you keep a secret review

Can you Keep a Secret is probably the first book by Sophie Kinsella that didn’t go down too well with me. I personally like the characters of my books to be a bit inspiring. Emma (the main character) is someone who has shifted careers because she hasn’t given enough to either of her jobs. She is someone who goes to office and does everything else but what she is required to do and still expects a promotion. And finally she gets lucky with a rich guy. Oh! she spilled her secrets to a complete stranger. I mean how ordinary can it get? Except the author’s narrative, which makes you laugh at a couple of places, I thought it was a bit stretched. The book sort of held me till the very last page. It was a light funny book. The biggest lesson – be careful with what you share with others, especially with your secrets. But overall, a completley forgettable book. It can be read once but I’d say that there are better ones around.

I have been a bit under the weather today with all the hopping and soaking in rain yesterday.  I just went out and picked up a iced black coffee. Good decision, if I may say so myself. 😛

How is your weekend coming along? 🙂
